Behind the scenes
- Although credited as a story editor, Jon Colton Barry still had very little to do with this episode.[1]
- Captain Cutler's role in this episode is servicing a recurring joke that began and ended in "Game of Chicken." It was supposed to be a recurring joke throughout the series, but didn't really lift off, besides having a cameo in "The People vs. Fred Jones."
- Captain Cutler makes himself the culprit of past mysteries he had no involvement in, including "In Space" and "The People vs. Fred Jones."
- A special thanks is given to Joe Ruby and Ken Spears, who had nothing to do with this episode, but did create the original series, Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!
Errors
- Captain Cutler calls the alien Red Skull, even though this contradicts the fact no one called him Red Skull in "In Space," while the voice credits referred to him as Space Kook in reference to his original appearance in the Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! episode "Spooky Space Kook."
